How to get help:
Contact an
American Job Center say that you are interested in WIOA.
WIOA
- funded and approved training
WIOA funds are limited. Even if you are eligible, training funds are not guaranteed.
New funds may be issued each year.
The Connecticut Department of
Labor (CTDOL) oversees WIOA in
the state and CTDOL’s
Workforce Development Board
partners administer the
program, which includes
WIOA-funded training, in
Connecticut’s five workforce
development regions. Program
services may vary by area. CTDOL
also hosts a statewide advisory board which
is charged with ensuring that Connecticut has the talent to support economic growth through the
Office of Workforce Competitiveness.
Program goals are to improve the quality of the workforce, increase economic
self-sufficiency, meet the skill needs of employers, and enhance
productivity and competiveness.
