Veterans of Foreign Wars
The VFW provides a service officer at the VA Regional Office Center

protect veterans' rights, offers life, health and accident insurance, cancer
expense assistance, and a Medicare supplement, and operates a home in Michigan
for the education of orphaned or dependent children of VFW and Ladies Auxiliary

Vietnam Veterans of America
"Never again shall one generation of veterans abandon another." Founded
in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. is the only national Vietnam
veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated
to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA goals are to promote and
support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create
a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception
of Vietnam veterans. Membership is open to all Vietnam-era veterans who
served on active duty for other than training purposes between January
1, 1959 and May 7, 1975. Associate membership is open to all veterans,
