Apprenticeship is a paid training program;
apprentices earn while they learn—paid employment combined with
classroom education. This ensures a well-qualified, job-ready employee.
Apprenticeships generally range from one to four
years and at completion, the Connecticut Department of Labor’s Office of
Apprenticeship Training provides a portable training credential that:
● signifies completion of the apprenticeship
program;
● distinguishes you to future employers as a master
of your craft; and
● grants you eligibility to take the occupational
license exam if needed for future employment.
A Registered Apprenticeship program can help employers develop a
world-class workforce, enhance productivity, profitability and the
bottom line. Hundreds of companies are already benefitting their
business by taking advantage oftax credits.
