Career Express To Visit Public Library, Neighborhood Center

WETHERSFIELD - Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s
Career Express will provide job search assistance at the New Haven
Public Library, work with students at Emmett O’Brien Technical School in Ansonia
and assist visitors to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center with job search
strategies during the first part of February.
Stops planned by the Career Express include:
Career Express staff will provide job search assistance to visitors
who stop by the New Haven Public Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library
is located at 133 Elm St. in New Haven.
Feb 4 and 10:
Employees on board the Career Express will discuss job search
strategies and career exploration using the Job and Career Connection
during a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to Emmett O’Brien Technical High School,
located at 141 Prindle Ave., Ansonia.
Career Express staff will conduct a “Presenting Your Best Self”
workshop – discussing how to fill out job applications, interviewing
techniques and résumé tips – during a 9 a.m. to noon visit to Glastonbury
High School. The school is located on Hubbard Street in Glastonbury.
Labor Department staff on the Career Express will provide job search
assistance to visitors during a 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. visit to the Pawcatuck
Neighborhood Center. The center is located at 37 Chase St. in Pawcatuck.
