Reminder: Connecticut Career Fair Is April 12 at Manchester Community

WETHERSFIELD, More than 70
companies will be at Manchester Community College, this Saturday, April 12, when
the Connecticut Department of Labor kicks off its first job fair for its spring
2008 series. The job fair, which will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is expected to
draw more than 1,200 visitors.
“Jobseekers should dress professionally,
bring along plenty of résumés, and be ready to talk with recruiters who are
looking to fill a wide range of positions ranging from management to entry
level,” noted State Labor Commissioner Patricia H. Mayfield.

For candidates who want to apply for positions online, the Department of Labor’s
mobile Career Express will also be on-site throughout the event.
Career Express staff can also provide employment resources and assist job
fair participants that wish to meet with career counselors or attend workshops
at local CTWorks Career Centers.
