Labor Department Job Fair Is April 22 at
North Haven Holiday Inn

WETHERSFIELD, The Department of
Labor’s Connecticut Career Fair series is moving to the North Haven Holiday Inn
on April 22 for the second event in the agency’s spring series.
Representatives from 60 companies will be on hand to meet with visitors during
the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. job fair. Parking is plentiful and there is no admission
fee. The Holiday Inn, at 201 Washington Ave., is located off I-91, by taking

jobseekers can meet face-to-face with companies eager to hire in a variety of
The career fair will also include Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the
Connecticut Department of Labor. Staff will review and critique résumés to help
ensure they effectively showcase the skills of a jobseeker.
The agency’s mobile workforce center, the Career Express, will also be on
hand, with Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board and ready to
assist with employment needs. The van also has Internet access, allowing
visitors to conduct online job searches and career exploration.
Subsequent Connecticut Department of Labor job fairs to be held this spring will
take place May 22 at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson; June 11 at
Sacred Heart University in Fairfield; and June 17 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in
Cromwell. Each event will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
