possible. The cutoff date for entry of PY 2001 registrants is August 9,
After August 9th, you will be unable to:
exit an individual, enter a registration, and enter or close a service that

- As you may know, we have added an exemption for
reservists called to active duty (see AP 01-25 Change 1). We are also in the
process of adding a barrier to employment item for in-school youth. The item

CARRYOVERS BY CONTRACT:
- This office should receive the completed contract
carryover list for PY 2002 from each area by June 21, 2002. All open activities for clients will be closed if their
contract number is not carried over.
- The contracts may be carried over with a new
number. For example: In PY 2001, Local Area "Alpha" serves adults under
contract number 032001, for PY 2002, they choose to carry that contract
over, (because some adults are still being served from that contract) so
they rename it for the next year as contract number 032002.
- The contracts may also be carried over with the
same number. If a local area chooses to keep the same contract number, they
will need to extend the end dates of the contracts in the WI57 screen of the
WIA MIS. If you choose this option, please keep in mind that it may be
harder to identify which program year the client was served under.
Instructions to filling out the attached contract
- Beside each PY 2001 contract number, indicate yes
or no in the next column to indicate whether you wish the contract number to
be carried over.
- If the contract number is to be carried over
(answer of yes), write in the new contract number for PY 2002.
- If the contract number is not to be carried over
(answer of no), leave the last column blank.
- If you have a contract number that we did not
include in the list, please write it in on the next available line and
follow steps 1-3 again.
You should be able to begin entering PY 2002 data
entry transactions on August 13, 2002.

please contact Stephen Litke at (860) 263-6599.
