SUBJECT: WIA Financial Reporting Forms

Purpose:  To transmit Workforce Investment Act (WIA) financial reporting requirements, formats and corresponding instructions.

Financial Reporting Process:  Attached are the three (3) reporting formats, as well as detailed instructions for the required data elements.

Reporting is required quarterly for each funding source.  The funding sources for reporting are:

  1. PY 1998 and PY 1999 (JTPA formula funds transitioned into WIA require separate reports for each year);
  2. PY 1998 Incentive Funds – (outlays (expenditures)) are to be reported separately on the WIA Form 269b “15% Statewide Activities”;
  3. PY 2000 (Formula);
  4. And beginning with the quarter ending December 31, 2000, also FY 2001 (75% Adult and 75% Dislocated Worker) per Notice of Fund Availability.

Action Required:  Local areas are required to report on the attached formats, beginning with data for the quarter ending September 30, 2000, which is due to be submitted no later than October 31, 2000.  Subsequent quarterly reports are due 20 days after the end of the report month.
