What payment methods are available with the Department of Labor?
The two methods of payment that are acceptable by the Department of Labor are the ACH Credit Payment option
funds transfer (ACH Debit).
ACH (Automated Clearinghouse) Credit Payment
The ACH (Automated Clearinghouse) Credit Payment
Option, in which employers pay Connecticut Unemployment
Insurance Tax or Reimbursable payments, is available only to
employers with 250 or more employees and/or Payroll Agents that
file for 250 or more employees, in aggregate. It requires you
to send your bank a NACHA CCD+ TXP formatted file. If you
are interested in using the ACH Credit Payment method, you must
complete the registration form found at
successful submission and acceptance of the registration form,
you will be emailed the information and instructions necessary
to utilize this payment method. If you have any questions

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Taxable employers can pay
balances via our EFT application. The website begins at http://www.ctdol.state.ct.us/uitax/LogInIntro.htm. You will need your
UserID and password to enter this site. (If you have have not created your
UserID and password, please go to
http://www.ctdol.state.ct.us/uitax/LogInIntro.htm). As stated above, this is an ACH
Debit transaction. No credit payment can be made.
