Important Message Regarding Unemployment Insurance PIN Numbers
Please do not disclose your social security number or any other information related to your unemployment insurance claim to anyone except a representative of the Department of Labor. Also, if you are filing an Unemployment Insurance claim, do not disclose your PIN number for any reason. No one from the Connecticut Department of Labor, any other agency or business should ever ask you for your PIN number.
If anyone asks for your PIN number, please contact your nearest Department of Labor office to report this. A list of offices and phone numbers is located here: http://www.ctdol.state.ct.us/ContactInfo/ctworks-list.htm
If you have already shared your PIN number, we strongly recommend you contact the Department of Labor Call Center to reset (change) your PIN. Your PIN number has the same legal authority that your signature has on a paper document, and permitting another individual to utilize your PIN could potentially expose you to identity theft and put your claim for unemployment compensation at risk.
