your unemployment insurance claim to anyone except a representative of the
Department of Labor. Also, if
you are filing an Unemployment Insurance claim, do not disclose your
Personal Identification Number (PIN),User
ID and Password for any reason. No one from the Connecticut Department of
Labor, any other agency or business should ever ask you for your PIN, User
ID, and Password. Additionally, the Department of Labor does not use
automated telephone calls or emails to verify your personal information. Any

If you have already shared your PIN, User ID and Password, we strongly
recommend you contact the
Department of Labor Call Center to reset (change), your PIN. In
addition, you may go to our website to change your password. Your PIN and
password have the same legal authority that your signature has on a paper
document. Permitting another individual to utilize your PIN, User ID and
password could potentially expose you to identity theft and put your claim
for unemployment compensation at risk.
