The mission of Performance Measurement is to support the development, reporting, and analysis of high-quality performance measurement information in order to enhance agency decision making and foster continuous improvement. These services are designed as management tools that administrators and managers can use to guide their staff in performing the work for which they are responsible. The ultimate goal of this work is for the Agency to become and remain a high performance work organization. Toward that end this office assists in setting, tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance measures and continuous improvement activities. The unit’s work includes: supporting the development of viable performance measures for business units in the agency; providing technical assistance to agency staff re: performance measurement and continuous improvement methods; supporting agency executives in using performance measurement information to develop policy alternatives; issuing and maintaining performance reports for the one-stop centers in the WIA system; and supporting the use of performance measurements as planning and management tools.
