working to increase our technology to provide a growing
number of online options, and I hope you will find our
website informative and easy to use.
One of our newer services
CTHires, a cost-free employment website to help
jobseekers and employers. Jobseekers can use multiple search
criteria to look for job opportunities while the Résumé
Builder feature takes the guesswork out of creating a
professional résumé. Employers can use
CTHires to help them find and recruit the employees they
need by searching résumés or posting open positions.
Other online services include our
UI Online Assistance Center, for those with inquiries
related to an unemployment claim (such as needing to change
an address or calling to report they are returning to work),
while Connecticut’s employers are finding it convenient to
file their quarterly
UI payments online. The Department of Labor understands
the importance of timeliness in managing unemployment
claims, and we are here to help you.
Many of our publications can also be
found online. Other features include the ability to research
latest labor force trends, or employers can make an
appointment to meet with their local
Business Service Specialist to find out more about
programs available to benefit their companies, including tax
credits, wage subsidies and free safety consultations
offered by our

approach, residents are always welcome to visit their local
American Job Center for assistance with job search
strategies, to meet with a career counselor or veterans’
employment workshops, or use the fully-equipped
self-service Career Center.
