April 22, 2010

WETHERSFIELD, Whether you’re an employer or jobseeker, you’ll want to stop by the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell on June 22 for the annual Middlesex County Career Fair. Co-sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Labor, the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, The Workforce Alliance and The Middletown Press, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“The Middlesex County Career Fair is traditionally one of the largest events in our Connecticut Career Fair series,” notes Acting Commissioner Linda Agnew. “With more than 1,100 jobseekers expected to attend, this career fair will provide companies with an excellent opportunity to recruit onsite, while jobseekers can meet one-one-one with the exhibitors and learn about the career opportunities they have available.”

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Connecticut Department of Labor’s team of Certified Professional Résumé Writers, while additional staff will be present to answer questions about career and employment services.

Companies interested in registering for the Middlesex County Career Fair can contact Johanna Bond at the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce at (860) 347-6942. Jobseekers can visit the Labor Department’s job fair web site at for directions to the Crowne Plaza and a complete list of employers.
