March 11, 2010

WETHERSFIELD - There’s a way for employers to better survive the current economic storm, according to David Galt, legal editor of Business & Legal Resources Inc. (BLR) and guest speaker at the upcoming CONN-OSHA Roundtable discussion on March 16.  The session will take place at the Labor Department’s Central Office located at 200 Folly Brook Boulevard in Wethersfield from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m.

Galt, a national certified environmental, safety and health trainer, knows a good deal about business and safety. In his capacity at BLR, Galt prepares federal and state regulatory summaries of environmental, safety and health topics. He also develops compliance and educational materials for safety and environmental training programs, and writes feature articles and white papers about business and workplace safety Gait will share his ideas at the next CONN-OSHA Breakfast Roundtable discussion.

“In his presentation, titled How to Promote the Business Value of Safety, our speaker will address a number of issues,” explains John Able, CONN-OSHA Training Officer, who coordinates the breakfast series. “He will look at business investments and the benefits of implementing safety functions, link safety to the ‘drivers’ of business value, demonstrate how to improve performance, and identify methods to effectively communicate with business executives.”

A discussion portion will be included in the breakfast roundtable program. Time permitting, questions can be submitted for and audience members will be invited to share their answers and opinions.

Admission to the roundtable is free, but pre-registration is required. To register for the breakfast roundtable or for additional information, please contact Able at (860) 263-6902, or via email at
