Governor M. Jodi Rell announced today that the Career Express, the Labor Department's mobile workforce center, will head to local libraries across the state this summer to help people with job search and résumé assistance.

"By using town library locations, we want to bring much needed job services directly to our neighborhoods and smaller communities," noted Governor Rell.  "With the exception of unemployment claim filing, Career Express staff is able to provide job search assistance to individuals on a first-come, first served basis."

The Governor noted the state's CTWorks Career Centers offer even more extensive employment services, including career counselors, networking and computer skills workshops, Intranet access to job applications and specialized veterans' events.
