WETHERSFIELD, – Due to state budget constraints, all Department of Labor offices will be closed on Friday, May 22.

Several CTWorks Career Centers will be open on May 22, although Labor Department staff and services will not be available that day. Please call ahead to see if your local CTWorks office is open.

On Monday, May 25, all Labor Department offices and CTWorks Career Centers will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Initial claims for unemployment compensation will be processed through Thursday, May 21, but due to the office closings and the Memorial Day observance, checks will be mailed beginning Tuesday, May 26.
