Labor Department’s Career Express Making Stops at Local Libraries, Schools

WETHERSFIELD, The Career Express, a mobile workforce center operated by Connecticut Department of Labor employees, is currently on the road, visiting local libraries, schools and community organizations to offer job search assistance, résumé critique and related workshops. The following stops are planned for the Career Express within the next several weeks:

May 19: Open to the public job search and résumé critiques from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Waterford Public Library, 49 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford.

May 20: An introduction to Connecticut Department of Labor One-Stop services and job search strategies, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Hartford Job Corps Academy, 100 William Shorty Campbell Drive, Hartford.

May 26: Open to the public job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 10 a. m. to 3 p.m. at the Sprague Public Library, 76 Main Street, Baltic.

May 27: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9:30 a. m. to 3 p.m. at the Southington Public Library, 255 Main Street, Southington.

May 28: Job search assistance, including résumé critiques, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Avenue, Milford. 

June 1: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, 234 Kensington Road, Berlin.

June 2: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown.

June 3: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cromwell Belden Public Library, 39 West Street, Cromwell.

June 4: Open to the public job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Groton Human Services, 2 Fort Hill Road, Groton.

June 8: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Connection Incorporated, 1 Labella Circle, Middletown.

June 9: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Windsor Public Library, 323 Broad Street, Windsor.

June 11: Job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, Bristol.

June 16: Open to the public job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Haven Memorial Library, 17 Elm Street, North Haven.

June 17: Open to the public job search assistance workshop, including résumé critiques, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Killingly Public Library, 25 Westcott Road, Danielson.
