Career Express to Participate in Job Fairs, Visit Bullard Havens Tech and Essex Town Hall

WETHERSFIELD,  Connecticut Employees on board the agency’s Career Express will participate in a high school career fair, a job fair sponsored by the U.S. Navy Fleet & Family Support Center, and conduct job search and résumé critiques in Essex. Stops by the Career Express include the following events:

March 16
:  Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present job search assistance and résumé critique workshops for Porter & Chester Institute students during a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to the school’s Branford campus located at 221 West Main Street. 

March 18: Connecticut Department of Labor employees will invite the public to visit the Career Express for job search assistance and résumé critiquing workshops during a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to the Wallingford Public Library. The library is located at 200 North Main Street. 

March 19: Career Express staff will participate in a career fair taking place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Bullard Havens Technical High School, to outline Labor Department services, job search assistance and interviewing techniques. Bullard Havens Technical High School is located at 500 Palisade Avenue in Bridgeport. 

March 20: Career Express staff will provide job search assistance to the public during a 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to the Deep River Public Library. The library is located at 150 Main Street. 

March 23: Career Express staff invited the public to attend job search assistance workshops from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at East Haven Town Hall, 250 Main Street. 

March 24:  Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present job search assistance and résumé critique workshops during a 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to Bloomfield Town Hall, located at 800 Bloomfield Avenue. The sessions are open to the public. 

March 25: Connecticut Department of Labor employees and the Career Express will be in Groton to participate in a job fair sponsored by the U.S. Navy Fleet & Family Support Center at the Groton Inn and Suites, 99 Gold Star Highway. 

March 26: Career Express staff will talk to students about job search strategies and career exploration using the Connecticut Department of Labor’s Job and Career Connection during a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to Emmett O’Brien Technical School. The school is located at 141 Prindle Avenue, Ansonia. 

March 30: Career Express staff invites the public to attend a job search assistance and résumé critique during a 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to Essex Town Hall. The town hall is located at 29 West Avenue. 

March 31: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will, from 9 a.m. to noon, participate in a job fair being sponsored by the Connecticut Puerto Rican Forum at its headquarters, located at 95 Park Street in Hartford.
