Career Express Will Visit InterCommunity Mental Health Group, Hartford Job Corps Academy

WETHERSFIELD, Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s Career Express will provide job search assistance and interviewing techniques, participate in a health and community fair, and offer a variety of workshops for residents of Open Hearth in Hartford during the first half of October. Visits to the community include the following stops:

Oct 3: Career Express staff will present job search assistance and interviewing techniques workshops to clients of the InterCommunity Mental Health Group during a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit. The InterCommunity Mental Health Group is located at 281 Main Street in East Hartford.

Oct. 8: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present a résumé workshop for clients of the Disabilities Network of Eastern Connecticut during a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit. The Disabilities Network of Eastern Connecticut is located on West Town Street in Norwich. 

Oct. 9: The Career Express will be featured during a health and community fair being sponsored by the Hartford Job Corps Academy and Health Net from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hartford Job Corps Academy, 100 William “Shorty” Campbell Drive in Hartford.

 Oct. 10: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present a job search assistance workshop for clients of New London’s Project Homeless Connect during a 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. stop at the Benny Dover Middle School, 36 Waller St. in New London.  

Oct. 15: Career Express staff will present a 1 to 4 p.m. job search assistance workshop for residents of Open Hearth, which is located on Sheldon Street in Hartford. 

The Career Express team can be found at job fairs, career development events, schools, and other workshops, seminars and events across the state.
