Career Express Schedule Includes Stops at Family Support Center, Veterans’ Job Fair

WETHERSFIELD, Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express staff will provide job search assistance for departing service members, participate in a Veterans Job Fair, and detail job search strategies for Hartford Job Corps Academy students during stops scheduled between July 15 to 31. Visits from the Career Express include:

 

July 15 and 22: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will provide an introduction to agency services and provide job search assistance for departing service members involved in the state’s Transition Assistance Program during a 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. visit to Groton’s Fleet and Family Support Center. The Center is located at 83 Grayling Ave., Dealy Plaza, in Groton. 

 

July 23: Career Express staff will participate in a Veterans’ Job Fair taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Groton Motor Inn, 99 Gold Star Highway in Groton. 

 

July 31: Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present an introduction to One-Stop employment services and detail job search strategies to students during an 8:30 a.m. to noon visit to the Hartford Job Corps Academy. The Academy is located at 100 William Shorty Campbell Dr. in Hartford.
