Career Express Stops Include Visits to Area High Schools for Job Search, Résumé  Workshops

WETHERSFIELD - Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s Career Express will present workshops on interview preparation, job search strategies and résumé pointers for students at several high schools during the later part of February.  Stops will be made by the Career Express at the following locations:

  • February 19: The Career Express will visit the Hartford Job Corps Academy, 100 William “Shorty” Campbell Dr., where Connecticut Labor Department employees will conduct job search and interviewing workshops from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
     

  • February 20: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will offer job search assistance to residents of Hartford’s Open Hearth shelter, located on Sheldon Street, from 1 to 4 p.m.
     

  • February 26: Career Express staff will present workshops dealing with job search strategies, provide résumé pointers, and detail career exploration techniques using the agency’s Job and Career Connection during a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. stop at East Hampton High School. The school is located on North Maple Street.
     

  • February 29: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present a workshop on interviewing and will offer résumé pointers during a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to Bethel High School, 300 Whittley Drive.
