Career Express to Visit New Haven Parole and Community Services, Area High Schools
Connecticut Department of Labor schedules vehicle’s Nov 1 to 15 stops

WETHERSFIELD, Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s Career Express will, from Nov. 1 to 15, participate in a Project H.I.R.E forum at Manchester Community College; present a career exploration workshop at Naugatuck High School, provide information on Labor Department and federal bonding programs during a visit to New Haven Parole and Community Services, and present a job search strategies and interviewing techniques workshop for Terryville High School seniors.

Nov. 1: Career Express staff will provide job search assistance and information about Connecticut Labor Department services during a Project H.I.R.E. forum taking place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Manchester Community College. Manchester Community College is located at Great Path, Fireside Commons in Manchester.
 

Nov. 3: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present a résumé workshop for participants in Next Step program taking place from 9 a.m. to noon at Rockville High School. Rockville High School is located at 70 Loveland Hill Road, Vernon. 

Nov. 5: Career Express staff will conduct a career exploration workshop and detail Labor Market Information and job search strategies during a 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. visit to Naugatuck High School. Naugatuck High School is located on Rubber Avenue, Naugatuck. 

Nov. 6: Career Express staff will provide career and job search during the Fifth Annual College 2 Career Expo taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clarion Inn & Suites in East Windsor. The Clarion Inn & Suites is located at 161 Bridge Street. 

Nov. 7: The Career Express will be featured during a Career Expo taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodstock Academy. Woodstock Academy is located at 57 Academy Road, Woodstock.  

Nov. 10: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will explain job search strategies and detail career exploration techniques using the Job and Career Connection during a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to Emmett O’Brien Technical High School. Emmett O’Brien Technical High School is located at 141 Prindle Avenue, Ansonia.

Nov. 12: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will provide job search assistance and also detail information on Labor Department programs and services during a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit to New Haven Parole and Community Services.  New Haven Parole and Community Services is located at 50 Fitch Street, New Haven. 

Nov. 13: Career Express staff will present a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. workshop detailing job search strategies and interviewing techniques for seniors at Terryville High School. The school is located at 33 North Harwinton Avenue, Terryville. 

Nov. 14: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will present job search and interviewing workshops during a 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. visit to Woodland Regional High School. The school is located on Back Rimmon Road, Beacon Falls.
