Career Express Staff to
Provide Workshops, Meet with Veterans at Waterbury Career Fair

WETHERSFIELD – Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s
Career Express will present job search assistance workshop for Norwich
Adult Education Project Homeless Connect participants, work with visitors at the
fourth Heroes4 Hire job and career fair at the Waterbury Holiday Inn, and
take part in a Technology Day at Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in
Torrington during the second half of October. Stops include the following

found at job fairs, career development events, schools, and other workshops,
seminars and events across the state. Businesses or individuals interested in
having the Career Express visit their company, organization or school can

staff will assist jobseekers at a Project Homeless Connect event being held
from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Norwich Adult Education office, 182 Cedar
The Career Express will be onsite and visitors can meet with
Connecticut Department of Labor employees aboard the vehicle from 11 a.m. to
3 p.m. during the fourth Heroes4 Hire job fair. The Heroes4Hire
event, to be held at the Waterbury Holiday Inn, 3580 West Main St.,
Waterbury, is sponsored by the Connecticut Departments of Labor and Veterans
Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express
will provide information about the agency’s job search resources during a
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. visit to Northwestern Connecticut Community College,
located at Park Place, Winsted.
staff will offer job search assistance and information regarding Connecticut
Department of Labor services during a 1 to 3:30 p.m. visit to the East
Hampton Public Library, located at 105 Main St.
Department of Labor on board the Career Express will provide
clients of CRT/Behavioral Services with job search assistance and
résumé building advice during a 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. visit to CRT/Behavioral
Services, located at 675 Tower Avenue, Hartford.
staff will make a presentation detailing the services available at the
state’s CTWorks Career Centers, as well as the information and
resources that can be found on the Labor Department’s Web site, during a 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) office.
CREC is located at 34 Sequassen St., in Hartford.
staff will conduct job search workshops from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during a
Technology Day event for students of Oliver Wolcott Technical High School.
The school is located at 75 Oliver St. in Torrington.
Connecticut Department of Labor on board the Career Express will
present job search and interviewing workshops to students from 9 a.m. to
noon at the Bristol Education Center, 431 Miner St., Bristol.
