Labor Department’s Career Express Stopping at Local High Schools in February

WETHERSFIELD, During the first part of February, Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the agency’s Career Express are taking part in a variety of on-site activities at local high schools, ranging from interview preparation tips to workshops on Labor Market Information and résumé assistance. Stops made by the Career Express include the following events:

February 1: Career Express staff will participate in career day activities from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Glastonbury High School, 330 Hubbard St.  

February 5: Connecticut Department of Labor employees on board the Career Express will provide a workshop dealing with interview preparation and résumé pointers for school-to-career high school seniors during a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit to Branford High School, located on East Main Street. 

February 13: Career Express staff will conduct a Labor Market Information workshop and discuss career exploration with students and the use of the Connecticut Department of Labor’s Job and Career Connection during a 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. stop at Emmett O’Brien Technical High School, located at 141 Prindle Ave., Ansonia.
