Largest Career Fair June 6 at Sacred Heart University

WETHERSFIELD, It’s on to Fairfield
County June 6 for the next in a series of Connecticut Department of Labor’s
spring career fairs. The series is midway through another successful run.
Connecticut Department of Labor, Sacred Heart University, and The Workplace,
Inc., have teamed up to offer employers and job seekers the opportunity to
participate in Southern Connecticut’s biggest hiring event. The Career Fair will
take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pitt Center at Sacred Heart University,
5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield.
”Employers have the opportunity to fill openings with highly qualified
candidates while job seekers can meet face-to-face with recruiters eager to hire
in a variety of fields,” notes John Tirinzonie, the Department’s Job Fair
Director.“ In addition, Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the
Connecticut Department of Labor will be stationed at the Career Fair and will –
for no charge – review and critique résumés.
Internet access to employer applications, job boards, and career information
will be available aboard the Career Express, the agency’s mobile career
center, The job fair will also feature federal and state veteran’s benefit
"Our recruitment fairs traditionally have attracted the largest number of
companies and job seekers and we anticipate this event will continue that
trend," Tirinzonie adds. “So, if you are looking for a new career or simply job
hunting, Sacred Heart University – on June 6 – is the place to be.”
