Than 40 Employers Set to Attend Labor Department’s May 1 Career Fair

its successful run of matching jobseekers with employers, the Department of
Labor and CareerBuilder/Jobs4U have teamed up to host eastern Connecticut’s most
impressive career fair. More than 40 companies will converge on May 1 at the
Norwich Holiday Inn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Our spring job fairs in
Manchester and North Haven have already connected hundreds of potential
employees with dozens of quality employers and we look forward to bringing this
successful series to the Norwich area,” noted State Labor Commissioner Patricia
in our May 1 fair are seeking job candidates with professional, technical,
administrative or production backgrounds and experience ranging from entry-level
to management,” Commissioner Mayfield added. “In addition, Certified
Professional Résumé Writers from the Labor Department will review and critique
résumés, at no charge.
The job fair will also feature federal and
state veteran’s benefit information booths and provide Internet access for
employer applications, while career assistance will be available on board the
agency’s mobile career center, the Career Express.
"Our job and career fairs traditionally attract the largest number of companies
and job seekers of any comparable recruitment event in this state,” said Job
Fair Director John Tirinzonie. “For those just entering the workforce or looking
to find a new career, the Norwich Holiday Inn is the place to be on May 1.”
