Breakfast Seminar Explores Best Practices in Defensive Driving

WETHERSFIELD -- Tim Healy, Director of Safety
at the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, will discuss best
practices in defensive driving during an April 17 breakfast meeting of the
Connecticut Department of Laborís Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CONN-OSHA).
Healy, who has completed a hands-on
driver-training course with the Smith System, the Bob Bondurant School, and the
Skip Barber School, is a National Safety Council Authorized defensive driving
Director of Safety for the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance
Company, Healey is lead safety trainer for approximately 350 engineers around
the nation and around the world for occupational safety matters, and is the lead
defensive driver trainer for these engineers.
The breakfast, which will run from 8:15 to
9:45 a.m., will be held in Conference Room A of the Connecticut Department of
Labor's main office, located at 200 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
According to CONN-OSHA Training Officer John Able, if time permits, the morning
also will include a roundtable discussion portion in which attendees can submit
a question for discussion and everyone will be invited to share opinions
regarding the issue.
