Schedule Includes Visits to
Waterbury Job Fair, Adult Education Event

During the first part of November, Connecticut Department of Labor employees on
board the agency’s Career Express will present a job search workshop at
Hartford’s South Park Inn, take part in a job fair being held for laid-off
workers in the Waterbury area, and present a job search strategies and
interviewing techniques workshop for graduating adult education students in the
New Haven area. Stops made by the Career Express dur8ng the first part of
November include the following events:
Connecticut Department of Labor employees on the Career Express will
provide a job search assistance workshop and an overview of Connecticut
Department of Labor services during a 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. stop at the South Park
Inn, Main Street, Hartford.
The Career Express will take part in a project Homeless Connect Service
Provider Fair being held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Danbury,
Main Street. Connecticut Department of Labor employees will provide information
on agency services and offer job search assistance.
staff will participate in a job fair for laid-off Shorewood Packaging employees
being held at the company’s facility, 63 Grand St. in Waterbury. Employees will
do online job searches during the event, which will run from 1 to 4 p.m.
staff will present a job search strategies and interviewing techniques workshop
for graduating students during a 9 to 11:30 a.m. visit to the East Haven Adult
Education offices, 290 Dodge Ave., East Haven.
