The Unemployed Armed Forces Member
Subsidized Training and Employment Program is
designed to help former military personnel
find new employment. The expanded armed forces
program is similar to the Step Up wage subsidy
program except that it is open to any company,
regardless of size.
six-month Wage Subsidy helps pay a new employee’s
salary for the first six months of employment. It
provides employers with up to $20 per hour, for a
maximum of $12,000 over a 180-day period. Your local Veterans’ Step Up
coordinator can assist you with guidelines and
information about Step Up, please contact your Local
Step Up For Vets Coordinator.
